And here's the maddening part: the military KNOWS this and admits it with their separation policies. Go to any forward area and there are specific rules about men in female barracks and vice versa. Why? If none of this stuff matters then why do they have those rules? Why do they pretend that it's going to impact mission effectiveness if a man sneaks into the female barracks, but two guys or two girls rooming together and screwing every night doesn't?

It's disappointing to have watched the military become a jobs program and social experiment during my lifetime. I steered my kids in other directions.

BNCOC too... they dangle ANCOC in front of me to re-up and I was like, “No, I’m ready to decide where I’ve gotta be and when”

5.75 years US Army, E-6, two IQ tours, 8mo TDY to Paris Embassy.

I was just done.

Im talking about the SGT/SSGT’s who would come up with the most ridiculous bullshite at PLDC/BNCOC...

For instance, at BNCOC, you had to eat “square meals” where your hand/arm had to go up and then in towards your mouth, very deliberately, making a “square”... basically, scoop, up, in, bite, out, down

It definitely felt like a race to the bottom sometimes.

They changed the course - the most difficult part, Small Units Tactics (SUT), has been downsized from six weeks to two weeks. That was the part of the course that wiped out a lot of candidates. It was a physical and mental grind that not many men and probably no women could pass. Some say it wasn’t necessary and needed to be changed, that it was just a more intense selection process all over again. Others suspect it’s been changed to allow women to pass the course. Go figure.

I don’t know why this thread continues when you have this guy spewing facts and the experience to back them up.

You “white knights” need to log off this thread.

Combat is for men.

No it’s not, mandate birth control and encourage them to practice anal.

So, they are teaching medics in two weeks now? That’ll work out great.

I agree with this, but there is a bigger issue folks - even if she can acutely man up and complete this course on an "even" footing (although there is effectively a 0% chance this is actually true or could be true) with men, women as a group:

1. Are weaker per pound
2. Have lower bone density then comparably sized men
3. Have reproductive/urinary tract novelties compared to men, that

...in combination result in women in austere conditions, such as those experienced by combat units, breaking down at a much higher, more rapid rate than their male counterparts. Couple that with a special forces operational tempo and that will likely skyrocket over even conventional combat units.

This is all a social experiment that is wrong-headed and does not result in a more capable, effective fighting force. Period. Full stop.

Well said and 100% accurate.

I do.

Women have no business in combat units, especially spec ops. They're an inefficient source of labor, a fraternization risk and a resource suck on taxpayer dollars and man hours.

There's a place for women in the military but it belongs in a desk as a paper pusher, support roles like medic, cook or whatever.

They don't belong in combat. I don't care how awesome the female recruit is because she is not the norm and does not make women worth the hassle of integrating women into combat units. This isn't a movie.

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner. Well said and 100% accurate.
