There's a guy in Walker that walks for miles to school and work

Hes a really cool dude. Works very hard for Waste Management. Walks all the way from south of the interstate to 190/hwy 449 in Walker. His name is Edward and never asks anyone for help nor rides, just does his thing.
Hes also going to welding school there in Walker.
The post started off just asking people to give him a ride if they saw him walking and turned into people wanting to help monetarily.
A gofundme has been setup for him to get a vehicle and it's moving along pretty nicely.
Good story about a hard working man who is trying his best to make a better life for himself.

According to the OT ol boy should make enough when he starts welding to purchase everyone cars who donated
Great story though. Love to see hard workers rewarded.

after scrolling thru the donations it appears no black people have fallen victim to this trick.

Respek for my man Ed , an American working man. Before all the serial killer comments start.

I'm usually very cynical about donation drives for pretty much anything but I k ow this guy, not really friends just acquaintances. It's legit. To be honest he will probably be upset that people are doing this.
But the guy doesnt have a running vehicle and people are just trying to get him some wheels to make his life easier.

As I am currently listening to the podcast Real Life Real Crime (currently as in not this second, but when I do get a chance thats what I am listening to), this is the best story to ever come out of Walker.

Kaceyy Fisher. Why does she need the extra "y" in her name?

Wouldn't they want to help him get "on his feet" instead of "off"?

I'll contribute to a fund for his new hairstyle

She was the one that started a post on the LP rants and raves page just asking people to give him a ride. People urged her to start the GFM and she did.

Oh I understand what's going on, but her name ends with two "y"s. It's weird as frick

Why is it such a shock a man is acting like a man?
Props to him tho

Leave her alone, she has the hardest job in the world, she’s a stay at home mom

I see a dude walking to work every morning in LC from north of downtown to south of 210. I've often thought about asking him if he wants a bike, but figure if he did want one he would have gotten a used one already.

Because few men do act like men these days.

If I give him a ride, you think he'll mind just hopping in the back of the truck? He looks kind of smelly, you know, working at the dump and all.

That’s Chris from The Wire.

I'm all for helping him but if he can't afford a car then he can't afford the cost of the insurance. He'll just end up being another uninsured driver on our roads.
