That’s who swung the election for her because they deemed her easily controlled/manipulated.

To be fair, it cost Hitler a lot more than $40k to get to Paris.

And, at that point, it became recognizable to urban socialist Democrats that if you governed badly enough, if you refused to fill potholes or police the streets or solve traffic problems or provide functional public education, the middle-class voters who would consider voting Republican and therefore could put your political power at threat would just … leave.
And when they left, what remained would be a thin crust of rich people relatively easy to govern because they provide their own public services in the form of private school attendance for their children, private security for their neighborhoods, and so forth.
Oh, and a mass of urban poor who would also be easy to govern — at least, in the manner urban socialists like to govern. The votes of the poor can be bought cheaply because they don’t know any better. Tear down statues, offer “universal basic income” or free needles or midnight basketball, and you can fleece the poor into believing that you care. They don’t really expect anything better and they wouldn’t even know what that looks like.
Down the road, when the federal subsidies run dry and the country is fucht, the state's will have to get rid of all these moron politicians like Teedy and take total control of their major cities and hire competent executive types to fix them. Eventually, as the middle class leaves New Orleans, the rest of the state will start to feel the pain as the city collapses and it's economy fails and will be forced to do something. Its coming...

Im sure its been said here multiple times but this bitch as nasty as she may be, is not Nola's problem. The voters are. She is just the symptom. Nola will always vote Democrat and Democrats in a poor, corrupt state like Louisiana are going to be a disaster. I would say it will one day fix itself but I am not sure how. The people seem to be content and believe the lies they are told amidst the city falling apart around them. Similar to Detroit, Baltimore etc.

Has the workflow of this petition been explained? For instance who received the petition once the signatures are provided?

I hope this fails.
These people had the opportunity to take care of this last year by showing up and voting. But only 70K people or so decided the future of their homes meant anything.
NOLA deserves all of this.

Pull a bait and switch and tell people it’s for free Whopper vouchers if they sign

This is a waste of time, someone needs to start an actual recall petition. I don’t even live in the city, but would help with the effort in any way I can.

I would sign an actual recall petition but I am not starting one.
I do not want my life ruined by Latoya's people.

This is so dumb. You fricking morons had your chance to recall her. It’s called voting you dumb fricks! None of you bitches showed up. We even had early voting.

I'm not gonna pretend NOLA will ever have an honest mayor, but I'd rather a bleeding-heart liberal waste our tax dollars trying to accomplish something than Teedy and Co just straight up stealing it.

Not that much different.
Maybe a little slicker than Teedy.
