There is an astounding number of people who are on their phones while driving.

"Don't talk and drive", "Don't text and drive".

Actually these people are internet browsing while driving.

You can pretty much tell when someone is doing it. Driving relatively slower than everyone else and the swerving...

Heck this morning, I saw a broad playing Candy Crush as I passed her.

Cops could have a field day giving out tickets if they wanted to.

Or people starring at their phones at red lights and not going when it turns green until someone honks. It's a damn epidemic.

It's not just driving.

I can't get over people who go to the grocery store and shop while talking on the phone the entire time.

They passed a no cell phone driving law in Austin a few years ago, but it’s obviously not enforced.

I'm always on TD... like 24/7 on TD. I guess lurking given my post count. It is the ultimate blessing and curse

My best OT posts tend to be while I’m cruising at a safe and cautious speed in the left lane on the basin bridge.

Sounds like you were real focused on the road to notice such detail on a 4 inch phone in a different vehicle on the road.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this and it is incomparable to texting and driving.

The only way to stop it is to disrupt the signal when moving at a designated speed. Perhaps only allow incoming calls or voice commands.

It is the norm not the exception anymore. It is infuriating to say the least. And in the case of light cycles that don't last long it causes a lot of delays for people unfortunate enough to be several cars deep of the dumbass.

It’s worse than drinking and driving.

Texting or browsing the internet while driving is more dangerous than drunk driving. So to those who do it, I hope you slide under a gas truck and burn alive.
