You're right, clearly the answer is to arm people even less qualified than that and let them take care of everything.

All this talk of air marshals made me curious and I found this little nugget while reading up on them:

Why is arming teachers such a bad idea?
Would it be a bad idea for my ex marine high school civics teacher to carry a gun at school? Or my ex-sheriff English teacher to have a gun? What would be the problem with that.

I can assure you, Rusty Price would have been able to handle a shooter with an AR15 just fine if Rusty had a weapon.

I don't know. I suppose that there's a chance, but I doubt it. I would imagine that, if I had to be armed, that I wouldn't be carrying the gun in my purse.
