At this point, this may be the breaking point for me to get out of education. While I’ve worked with some wonderful teachers I’ve also worked with some awful arse teachers who shouldn’t have even been dealing with kids much less packing in a classroom.

And don’t even get me started on the issue of cost when we now won’t even let teachers claim their out of pocket classroom expenses on their taxes because we’re supposedly so hard up.

I have no issue with trained SROs on a campus because their only job is security of the campus. Feel free to increase their presence.

This is a retarded idea.

It's more probable statistically that a teacher will frick a kid than a crazy frick shoots up a school. But yeah, let's give them guns.

Triggered. They have a whole years worth of lesson plans to do during the summer. Teachers get no days off.

probably a bad idea? May in fact be the worst idea in modern history

I don’t know why we’re even having this argument again and again and again... it will never happen! It’s a distraction, and Trump’s stupid tweeting fricktard self said it just to deflect.

And that’s coming from a fricking Republican who’s also a victim of gun violence.

Air Marshalls do well on planes, why not School Marshalls

Aren't air marshalls trained federal law enforcement officers? (please someone tell me if this wrong) Also, I don't think there are that many air marshalls, they only fly on a relatively small number of flights.

Again, who’s paying for this?

Whatever arm pays for TSA. Pardon my ignorance of not know who pays for TSA in the government. I generally assume Homeland Security.

Why not just let all the kids carry? The shooter will be outnumbered all the time.

It would work

Do you know how many schools there are in the United States? Air Marshals are MAYBE on 1 out of every 25 flights, and that’s being generous. It would cost a fortune, and we’re cutting education budgets more and more every year.

They’re too busy Snapchatting while the bodies of their classmates lie on the floor.

We pay over 3 trillion to support old people and mouth breathers. Take a little from there. We will be okay. shite make it a DoD role and pull from that budget. We have the money. Money is not the issue here.

You can make all the hypotheticals you want, the fact of the matter is that right now, the money isn’t there. Trump has already said that the Federal government wouldn’t be footing the bill.

Do you have a link for that?

I haven't heard him say that.

He said it in his little speech where he talked off the notecard that everyone was all up in arms about. I’m not watching an hour of orange-man footage to find it for you.

I’m actually a Republican, and I wasn’t against Trump. His unwillingness to even attempt to act Presidential and his constant 2AM Twitter rants have made me fricking sick. We are the laughing stock of the world.

He is fricking over the American people and acting solely on his own interests and if you’re blinded to that I feel very sorry for you.
