A Dollar Tree across the road from a Dollar General down the street from a Fred’s.

Why do Americans or Southerners want to buy so much garbage?

Don't go there if you don't like it

Because Publix isn't needed when the local demand consists of funions, bud light and cigs

First of all, Dollar General in the middle of nowhere rural America is the shite. If you need a few things it’s perfect. If you really need to get a lot of shite, take that longer drive to Walmart in “the big city”

You sound like a city boy yuppie

Same reason there are payday loan places and salons in trash areas.

Dollar tree is clutch for tailgating supplies. Knives, tongs, towels, plates and platters that do the job and are cheap enough to be disposable.

I buy stuff from the dollar tree. Very little but it's smart

Sponges. Can get a pack of five for a buck. Use for a few days and use new one.

Dish cleaner. It works. Just as well to clean before going into dishwasher

Lunch ziplock bags.

Containers for leftovers

Candy

All good buys. Plenty of stuff you don't need to spend 3-5 bucks on you can get there.

But are they really saving money when they are buying crap that will wear out twice as fast?

If you don't have enough available cash to buy the more expensive thing does it matter?

Dollar Tree is the only true dollar store. Dollar General and Family Dollar are more like mini Wal Marts.
