Friend group posting highlighting unemployment rate and salaries as a key indicator that our economy is healthy and that we should drive decisions based on these stats.

FYI: 2007 unemployment was 4% and yet we had a recession. How can people be so oblivious to this house of debt

Has it been really? What does Dow 40k really mean when our dollars are worth about 75% of what they were worth in 2021?

I’m not sure I would say it’s healthy, but it’s not near as bad as so many of you doom and gloom types have been trying to make it out to be for the last three years.
We will have a bad economy before long and people are going to lose their shite.

It is. The $.14 I saved for the Fourth of July has done wonders for the economy.

It's fine now, but won't be in 12 months Yield curve is still inverted and there has never not been a recession after one has occurred.

Stock market: SP500 is doing well, mostly because of tech/magnificent 7. Nvidia is responsible for a big part of it.

The " doom and gloom " types have been warning of an impending economic recession/depression...and it is coming.

Those who prepare for it will do better than those who do not, and yes people are going to absolutely lose their shite.

How long has the yield curve been inverted? How long does it have to be inverted before a recession?

There has been, but it has been a while.

You were probably predicting 18 months ago that the home sales and vehicle sales were going to “go off a cliff” any day now.

There were people who though a mask would work and that you could prevent the head cold from spreading by getting multiple vaccinations that hadn't been tested.

Americans are fricking retarded.
