If any younger members want to experience what a movie rental store was like, might want to visit soon.

Teens today will never understand the simple joy and pleasure of your parents taking you to Blockbuster on a Friday night with your buddies and picking out a new release movie or video game to do that night.

Or calling ahead to see how many they had left of a movie/game then racing over there ASAP.

...They will also never understand the life altering moment when you get there just to be told they are out and it will be at least 3 days before one is returned

Rich people

We couldn’t afford the new releases. We’d rent the older movies. I was always behind.

I guess you never had the joy of going to a mom and pop video store on your bike at 11 years old. Rent your NES/Genesis games, grab an R rated horror movie and sign it to your parents account.

That was my video store memory.
