Forced laughter by someone trying to gain favor with someone else. Seriously, nothing aggravates me like that.
Don’t get it confused with nervous/anxious laughter. We’ve all been there trying to lighten up a social situation. I’m talking more about someone trying to please a superior so they unleash a laugh you never heard them make at the most dull “quirky” thing their boss says.

I'm going to agree here.
Just spent 3.5 days dealing with this with my mother. Drugs they were giving her weren't strong enough. Yesterday she finally was drugged up enough to be in an almost coma. So the pain finally stopped or was at least controlled. Thank God.
