An arrest has been made. A local started it. The entire holy Jim community (cabin area in the mountains) is gone. Like 30 cabins....the only one still standing is the guy who started the fire

This is crazy. The smoke cloud is giant. I am within one mile of evacuation zone

That is ash not snow!!!

man that would suck arse to have a raging fire heading at your home. At least with hurricanes there are is a chance of the house surviving/replaceable damage, fire you are just fricked on everything.

to the OP, good luck

Thanks environmentalist whackos for not allowing strategic logging to prevent these things from spreading out of control.

Isnt it ironic the guy that started the fire and was arrested is named Forrest Gordon Clark

quote:

Forrest Gordon Clark was arrested Tuesday and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail, according to jail records. The fire started Monday but was only 5 percent contained as of Wednesday morning, according to sheriff's records and fire officials.

A cause of the fire has not been determined. The Orange County Register reported that Clark lives in a cabin in the Holy Jim area. Volunteer Fire Chief Mike Milligan, who also lives in the area, told the paper that Clark has long feuded with a neighbor and other cabin owners. He ran through the area last week screaming, and sent Milligan an email warning that "this place will burn,'' Milligan said.

A man has been taken into custody in connection with the destructive Holy Fire, which has scorched over 4,100 acres in the Trabuco Canyon area as it burned for a third day, the U.S. Forest Service announced Wednesday.

Forrest Gordon Clark was arrested on suspicion of two felony counts of arson, a count of felony threat to terrorize and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest, the Forest Service said in a tweet.
