Obama has the most followers on twitter.. If that is used to measure whether or not someone is famous. Then right after him is Justin Bieber.. Which is interesting. Shakira is up there as well.

The question isn't who is most popular (ie social media following), it's who is the most famous. Your Ronaldo argument is better, but I'd only give him the nod if soccer had been injected into every conversation on the planet for the last 5-6 years.
It's Trump. Go ask 1000 people what they think of Ronaldo and what they think of Trump, and I guarantee many more people not only know Trump but have an opinion on him.
