There are probably over a billion peasants in India, Bangladesh and rural China who have no clue who these guys are. Parts of Africa too.

I don't think people in the US realize just how many people live in the 3rd world and just how hopelessly poor and disconnected from modernity they are. A good chunk of the world's population are effectively feral humans.

The position is famous, not the individual.

India and China make up 2.6 Billion people. Probably someone in Asia that I’ve never heard of is the answer.

I bet he's pretty high up on this list. A few years ago he was talking about going to a remote village in Africa for some AIDS relief trip. The village has never had electricity or running water yet his poster was all over the mud walls of the houses.

I coached a team of little league soccer kids who grew up in the middle of nowhere Mississippi - they did Ronaldo's goal celebration when they scored

How many middle-aged or older americans know of this guy? Id say very few.
