The Washington Post faces backlash for headline calling ISIS terrorist 'austere scholar’

This is the obviously slanted headline about the terrorist that was killed in a raid conducted by American armed forces:
Why not describe the man as a terrorist? That’s what he is. Why gloss over that undeniable fact?
Some reactions trending on twitter that I’m sure the OT would enjoy:
Its original headline read, "Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Islamic State’s 'terrorist-in-chief,' dies at 48." But it was later changed to "Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48."
#wapodeathnotices is pretty entertaining.

As well they should. I would hope that regardless of party affiliation people would realize that is an absolutely outrageous headline.
Maybe we should ask the family of the guy they burned alive in a cage what the headline should be.

WaPo’s headline games only contribute validity to the growing noise about “fake news” in American media.
It’s ridiculous and pathetic.
They deserve the criticism.

The reaction is a great example of how memes can be an effective tool against the smothering of free speech caused by political correctness.

These assholes hate being ridiculed and laughed at. They love making people mad.

If their coverage of this is as slanted as it is... I imagine their political coverage is full fiction.

Best I saw:
Osama bin Laden, father of 24, killed in home invasion.
Saddam Hussein, successful politician, oil baron and noted tough boss, dead at 69.

Somewhere along the line the Washington Post turned into the Huffington Post.

Really is outrageous that a mass murderer and serial rapist gets proclaimed as a Diety by any US media outlet.
