Moreno and Morrell, the two most likely next (you never know I guess), aren't much like Latoya at all, to be honest.
Both are intelligent even if I'd disagree with them on many things.
Moreno in particular worries me in a different way. She is well spoken, very intelligent, a focused person, and highly competent...and ULTRA liberal, much more of a true believer than Latoya would ever be. A dangerous combination.

Broome got ahead of the Landry admin and the overall national shift back to common sense by hiring a white Police Chief and at least appearing to acquiesce.

Nah, I think you overestimate the IQ of the average New Orleans resident. They're told to vote blue, so they do, as if generations of doing so has improved their life somehow, then are shocked when it doesn't work out.

I mean who could have guessed a queen that didn’t pay her taxes and had a cloud hanging over her from the city credit card abuse investigation before she even took office and then played a real life game of Where in the world is Carmen San Diego with tax payer funds is going to jail?

I keep saying this over and over and over.
At some point it’s almost comical that people are still this hopeful for this to occur.
A black female mayor or judge is just about as untouchable as high level folks in Washington.
