What the frick is wrong with you people? Why are people being so stupid in this thread?
We're not stupid. The best way to ensure a successful country long-term is to set up young people for success.

Boomers also paid more into the system so there's that

I’m 25 years they will be saying the same thing about Gen X.
So I won’t pile on.

Do you have chart indicating how much money the boomers have sent to the government compared to how much the children have sent.

I am not sure why they are so adamant about maintaining it, even though they know the long term economic impact.
I would think that, since the boomers are so economically literate, they should just want to end the program for the betterment of future generations.
Or do they actually need it and they aren’t as fantastic as they make themselves out to be?

The only way to find balance here is to tax people even more to fund shite like daycare for everyone. I’m sure you’d love that.
So don't have kids until you can afford a couple G's per month for daycare?
Then you'll be bitching that there aren't enough young people to work the minimum wage jobs at your nursing home.

Another effeminate failure thread from the board incels..

And, we are, by far, the most generous generation.
OP, and his upvoters, had failures for parents.
Imagine being a failure in the greatest economic upswing in history.
I'd be bitter, too.

The boomers need to start posting mySSA receipts or something. I keep seeing "we've paid more" as if they are a team. I'm curious if we're talking to the stars or the bench warmers here.

Hey, look............another boomer thread.
You convinced me, let's kill them all!

That generation talks so highly about their economic skill.
They surely don’t need SS.

My dad was born in 1960 and is stunned how there are people his age that have to use and defend social security

So, you paid into it and you know it is terrible to maintain and will be a huge drain on the future of your kids and grandkids.
But you want to keep it going, why?
I am starting to simply assume that the Boomers are all actually poor and need SS to survive, well, at least the ones on here who are so adamant about maintaining it.

Nope.
But we sure AF paid it in.
Would you want something you and your wife paid in?

Absolutely not, but then again, I do not need that money to survive.
I would dump it in a heartbeat, as would both of my boomer parents.

It’s proportional to the contribution of each generation. Sucks but it’s true.
