First of all "The US Government" isn't paying for shite. It's all the tax payers paying.
But iIf parents cant afford a kid form 0-5 then they shouldn't have them. And these numbers quickly change once free school starts getting added in.

Older folks paid 6.2% on up to $176k (2025 cap) of salary for their working life.
Younger folks have consumed well more than contributed, in comparison.
As you are comparing.
That said, if the more important point is more investment for youth, just make that case. It comes across as jealousy.
