Screw them. I’m 6’5 and airplanes are extremely uncomfortable unless you upgrade the seats…which I do. Nobody seems to care about that and there aren’t any lifestyle changes I can make to change it either.

Im 6’6” and 325lbs. I can stand to loose some pounds but it’s mostly beer gut. I’m just a big dude. It’s why I drive to locations, rather than fly. My 10 hour drive to Nashville for work was more enjoyable than flying.

I really don't get this fat acceptance push. It is a known medical fact that obesity, and just plain being overweight, is unhealthy.

There is nothing good or glamorous about being fat. If you are obese, you should be ashamed.

The lack of shame in today's society is leading to all kinds of horrible outcomes.

People tend to run from anything tagged with "phobia". No one is scared of morbidly obese people, they are grossed out by the sight and, often, the smell of them. But that's mean and "bullying" so people allow themselves to be made the problem by allowing the label of "fatphobic" to be used instead of having the balls to say "no, you're being morbidly obese isn't mine to fix, it's yours."

The heaviest I've ever flown at I was 6ft and 355lbs. First leg was economy United.

It was uncomfortable, but I simply asked for the window seat and turned my shoulders so the tiny asian girl wouldn't have my arm in her seat for an hour. Second leg was sing air business class.

But here's the thing, that's my issue. Not someone else's.

The real question? At 355lbs I didn't need a seatbelt extension. Nor did my fat spill over the armrest.

Who the frick needs a seatbelt extension?

I got fat not eating candy or fast food.

I got fat by eating a caloric surplus for years while lifting extremely heavy weights and running a few times a week...and then stopping the exercise portion.

Even now I can eat 2-3k calories of clean food in a single sitting. I simply don't.

Infinifat” describes anyone over a size 32. It's used for those of us that are the most underserved in fat communities because they are the largest. They have the most significant barriers to healthcare, lack of access to clothing, lack of access to public spaces, discrimination in the workplace, and more.

What you need to be accessing is the gym, a comfortable pair of running shoes, and a Terry Tate, Office Linebacker kind of coach to keep your fat arse from eating 10 donuts every morning.

This society is just like Wall-E which was apparently a documentary like Idiocracy.

The real oppression is against skinny people. I'm 165 lbs and have to pay $50-100 it my bag is 1 lb over 50. These 300 lb people don't have to pay a cent more than me though. Either weight matters on a plane or it doesn't.

A 400lb coworker went to Paris and they just ignored him in the restaurants. He’s a good dude but they were obviously disgusting by him and didn’t want to serve him. He would just get up and leave

Fatphobia

The definition would be to have "an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something." I do not have a fear of fat people and I hate when they use this term. My fear is being stuck on another 4.5 hour flight in the seat next to one so large that she spilled into my seat with no regard to me and my comfort.
