As someone who lives in Boston, let me just say that it shouldn’t be on the list at all, much less number 2.

Have to admit I love girls with a Boston or New England accent. It's a close 2nd to a Latina New Yorker.

I knew a well traveled guy (was a national sales rep) and he could place most people's accents down to within a few counties (or parishes)
I’ve met a few people like this.

I’m OK at doing it, you have to have an ear for accents and (for me) consciously concentrate on placing the accent.

I sold for almost 15 years, have travelled a decent amount, and have met a lot of people.

It’s weird to hear one where you don’t expect it. Like Cali offshore.

One of my regional favorites is the Eastern North Carolina accent. It sounds ‘flat’ to me. It’s not a syrupy as Coastal South Carolina or Georgia. It’s almost got some Scotland to it still.

sexy – accents in the USA.

1. Texan

The Baton Rouge accent is number one on my list, it's kind of like Texas and Shreveport had a baby covered in Karo syrup. Sweet and sexy. >>> Georgia and FL
