well before social media in 80-81 period there was a run on toilet paper. mother-in-law had 150 rolls stuffed away around her house

I bought a pack of 6 rolls yesterday, because I was out, and I don’t have social media.

Hope those 6 rolls will last me a few weeks

I think people are panic buying toilet paper in case they are quarantined in their house for 2+ weeks.

This is just so odd to me. We have tons of TP in the storage closet at all times, virus or not. Who only keeps a small pack of TP at their house?

I just looked and we have 36 rolls of TP and 31 rolls of Bounty paper towels and not a single one was purchased recently as far as I'm aware. We stock up on that kind of stuff at Home Depot every month or so.

I also have an entire closet of Clorox wipes, soaps of all kinds, and Lysol. All purchased over the past year or so during Home Depot runs.

This started a few weeks ago with he viral video of the women, from Australia, fighting over TP because the one lady had a cart overflowing with it but wouldn't give the other lady a single pack. That image stuck in people's heads. When the shite hit the fan here in the States, that's the first thing people started hoarding.
