I actually host several antennas for different AIS and tracking pay for services. I can see the route this vessel took and the vessels that are supporting this vessel. It’s a pretty cool subscription that I have

I’ve made several trips through the canal. Suez pilots have a bigger racket than River pilots. First they demand 5-10 cartons of cigarettes usually they have to be Marlboros. You also have to have an Suez electrician to operate the Suez light which is hardly ever used. They also try to bring on 5-10 other people to sell goods but that is just a cover to steal the brass firefighting nozzles.

I can confirm all of this and they also want a little cash, and we had to stow our guns while in transit.

The only way this captain saves his job is if he hangs a BLM banner off the side of the ship.

Seriously though, have they figured out a way to blame this on Trump yet?

I wonder if someone gets fired over something like this? Do they go in front of a Licensing Board or is there some kind of review process? Do they have to walk the plank?

Speaking of dicks... why did the ship make a penis route before getting stuck?

The company will do an investigation to determine the cause. If it was a maintenance issue then the Chief Engineer will probably get canned and possibly the Captain as well. If it’s an issue with fuel quality or something similar they may keep them.

Since they are Panamanian flagged there probably won’t be an in depth investigation from the flag. However, the insurance companies/lawyers will do thorough investigations to find the cause and fault.
