Gets the tourists every time.

I find Baton Rouge’s Sassy Lane to be an interesting choice of street name. It’s like nice houses and I’m thinking, who tf wants to pay that much and then have to tell people they live on Sassy Lane.

The best street name I have ever seen is one that I pass up daily now.

Bang Ficklin Road in Prairieville.

Always heard the context was a camp name that was derived from an old hand asking "Who she belongs to?" when speaking of a lady who was visiting the camp.

Cut Off, Louisiana has both an East and West 69th Street.

A 13 years ago, the street sign for East 49th Street got replaced and the parish put up a sign that said East 49RD Street.
Don’t know what the sign maker was thinking. I could understand East 49ER Street if he was a 49er fan, but RD. Plus most of the streets in South Lafourche outside of Golden Meadow are in numerical order from 1st street in Larose to over 200 on the west side and 179 on the east side of Bayou Lafourche.

Fun fact when the parish added streets after the numbering of streets some streets were given the designation of place or lane like East 69th Place. So I guess that is another strange street name East 69th Place.

There is a Booger Hill Road in Georgia, would fit perfectly between Alabama and SC.

There’s a Bonerwood Dr somewhere near Nashville.
