The story seems fishy, but if true and I was that parent, I'd have a Disney trip, Universal Studios, something lined up immediately. That would kill me to see.

I quit having parties for my sons, because hardly anyone would show up. And we went to almost every party they were invited to. Now, I ask them what they want to do for their birthday. So instead of spending money on a party, I buy tickets to Lego Land, more presents, etc.
