This is an image of the abandoned vehicles in one of their facilities.

Go big or go home. Or broke.

It’s simply amazing how the USSR failed so gloriously.

I've seen a few programs on this. There's one with interviews from people who were involved in the program.

I’m not one for fisting but if she wanted to fist my arse, I’d let her.

Orbital used the AJ26 motor, Russian shuttle main engine, for one of their rockets and one blew the shite out of the E complex at Stennis and another damn near destroyed a launch platform on Wallops Island, Va. Those engines sucked.
They would have never figured out the thrust structure of the ET.

That video was awesome. Wasn’t expecting to see them climb inside one. Creepily cool

Yet they are our only means of getting a crew to the ISS.

You’re not wrong, their economy did collapse, but I think it is better to go even further and recognize their complete dissolution.

Well, the Soviet Union doesn’t exist anymore. All of the Republics became independent countries, the Soviet government dissolved, and the Russian Federation took over the Soviet Union’s position on the world stage.

Uh duh. The Buran. Just because someone found a video of this today and posted it on reddit acting like they discovered this doesn’t mean everyone didn’t know this.

I actually got to go inside the Buran test vehicle they used in suborbital flights. It was pretty cool but not built for someone 6’3” like me. This was back in 2000 when it was shipped to Australia to be put on display. I knew one of the guys involved in getting it over there and let me have a look-see.
