Someone take the video Pride posted and line up the words in Trumps speech from the first seconds of that video with the overall video of Trumps speech, find the time between that mark and the first shot

From the CEO of BlackRock

quote:

The law enforcement sniper (unclear if USSS) in newsreels was clearly overwhelmed as his face came off his rifle instead of doing his job to kill the shooter. Clearly they were watching the shooter but apparently have a no "first shot" policy. The only positive action was an apparent 488yd shot by one USSS sniper which despatched the assasin but after the assassin launched at least 5 rounds, wounding DJT and killing and severely others in the crowd.

The video is roughly 2 minutes 47 seconds ahead of the shot

But that isn’t the first spotting of the shooter. He is already on the roof when the video starts. He was first spotted on the ground before the video begins

The guy that shot him was a sniper 488 yards away, not the sniper close to trunk that you see the video of

Ahh, didn't realize that.

And the shooter want killed instantly, which is why he was able to get off multiple shots

Yea I really just meant quickly. But either way, if it's a different shooter than the ones I've seen videos of then it doesn't matter. Just from a hunters perspective and not making light of the situation, but I would love to see what scope he was using

I agree. It has to be total incompetence by Leo and the SS. If it had been a setup they would train the guy or pick someone that could make a shot that your average deer hunter can make.

Blackwater

I was very perplexed for a moment given the BlackRock video thing.

this video?

Yes. But according to pride, that's not the shooter right? That's who I had assumed the guy who took him out was.

quote:

because he clearly has to readjust once the shots are fired

I think they were scanning the rooftop because by that time radio chatter had started, but he clearly was not on the shooter when shots fired

I mean he barely has to adjust. After watching it a couple times, yea he wasn't zeroes in on him, he takes his head back as well, but he is 100% in a close aim to him/in a range where it looks like he would have already seen someone on a roof top.

We don’t officially know the shooter until official reports. But would consider Erik Prince as reputable source as possible for now

Even back in the early 90s I was on 2 presidential security details, one for senior bush and one for Clinton, both very likable guys in person by the way, and even then the secure perimeter was 800 meters out on base with secret service and Delta snipers covering out that far or more. It's mind blowing how it wasn't secure at least that far out.

Are the parameters different for a former president?

That’s where leadership failed imo, is they allowed 3 events. It’s very likely this was made at the White House, and SS said this was going to spread them thin. There’s no reason to have 3 SS events in the same state in the same weekend/ day. Those guys work out of field offices and that would have spread the local offices way too thin. Not to mention the local/ state LEOs.

And someone/people allowed that shooter to get into position.
There is no way someone gets on a roof 100-200 yards away from the President, former President or active unless he was allowed to be.
This wasn’t a 1000 yard shot in a guillie suite.

This dude was seen and videod by 10’s if not hundreds of people climbing up a wall and on the roof.
This was more than ineptitude

Even if no one was up there. People were yelling that someone has a gun several minutes before the first shot was fired and yet the president is still talking at the podium

Can the Secret Service be THAT incompetent?

It seems like the secret service was understaffed and thus relied on local law enforcement for a rather simple task and they completely acted like local law enforcement (aka Texas school shooting) and fricked it up

To me that’s Occam’s razor

For a former president just out living his life? Yes for sure security is scaled down

For a former president who is campaigning to be president again? Should be treated as the president
