If I built an outdoor kitchen, then a pool was a must have for my wife.

You’re correct. I don’t.

But you do.

I can just see you now. In some shitty little shed, pouring sweat as you try in vain to build a birdhouse. You lift your little dumbbell and grunt so loud as you struggle With the weight.

Out the window, you look on in envy at your neighbor. He smiles in his apron as he grills beneath the shade of his outdoor kitchen. The fans waft the mouth watering scents of roasting meats and veggies. The sound of the baseball game is on the air as the tigers score another run.

His friends and family mill about with him, sharing drinks and laughing as their host happily tends the grill. Then you snort derisively about how not a man he is because he isn’t choosing your particular misery and instead chooses his own path. Not understanding that it is YOU that is weakly shackled to someone else’s opinion of what a man is. And a rather vain one at that.

OP got a quote on an outdoor kitchen and is now justifying in his mind why he doesn’t need one.

Cooking meat over fire while drinking beer or bourbon is not unmanly. Regardless of my opinion, why are you so worry about other dudes? That’s gay.

Gonna be grilling, sipping on micro brews and getting blown by my Mexican Maid while the Wife preps the Pico inside the house.

Most people would agree the rise of feminent men is undeniable. They are everywhere.

And posters are coming out from everywhere all hot and bothered to cry in this thread

Thereby proving the thread

He kind of hit the nail in the head. Men built shops to maintain equipment and build things that put food on the table. NOW, not everyone needs a shop. Most men don’t have equipment to maintain, and if so, can’t hardly work on it anyway. Which is another problem. Most men don’t have the skills to maintain their own basic shite like power equipment, AC, plumbing, electrical, etc.
Now OP, take a survey and ask the question, would you rather have a $40K shop equipped with 40K in tools or would you rather have a 80k outdoor kitchen?

All you did was make a bunch of awesome things like being outside, grilling, drinking beer, and watching sports sound bad.

Is your husband not giving you enough attention?

I'd rather avoid these gay false dichotomies.

Now, men build kitchens outside? Relegated to the heat watching a small 42 inch tv hooked to poor outdoor wireless speakers while drinking warm beer from a cheap outdoor “wine cooler”. Crying inside because not only do they have to work, they have to cook, clean, and can’t even sit in their recliners in the house.

If I've got TV, Grill, Beer and these...it's all good.
