Maybe it's not at City Bar, but it's LSU Students and recent grads most everywhere else.

Commuters to jobs downtown will take it from 7-9.
This is assuming the people live directly on the route.
Scratch replying to your whole 24 hour day. Is anyone going to take this Tram that doesnt live directly on the route?

at least Uncle Sam is willing to help pay for this particular project.
Yes they are willing to pay, but I question how much are they willing to pay.
I checked on the recently completed Kansas City Tram and here is what I found:
Miles 2.2
Cost $102,000,000.00
Federal grants- two, initially 17.1 million dollars and then through a TIGER grant another 20 million dollars for a total of 37.1 million dollars.
Local Funds- from a 63,955,000 dollar bond issue backed by KC.
Operations financed by-A special taxing district created to pay off construction bonds and operating costs. Rides are "free".
Interesting too that in 2014 citizens voted on an expansion to the present Tram and it was voted down 40% to 60%.
My question, why are proponents here in BR saying we could get 80% of the Tram funded by the Feds when Kansas City only received 37% of their funds from the Feds?

Travelers from out of town who are staying near the route.
Workers downtown who want to go to a game afterwork and don't want to move their car.
Why would people who don't live or work near mass transit take mass transit? Yeah, I'm going to commute from Frost to downtown every day for work, but I'm going to stop on McKinley Street and take the tram the rest of the way. Sounds legit.

last I heard, they weren't paying bills.
I think most in the thread when they announced this concept predicted its inevitable fail. That's just one concept that isn't going to work in a city like BR.

Besides football games, it is super easy to park for an LSU game.
Why would I ride the tram to the stadium only to have to ride it back to get my car and go home when I can just drive to the stadium myself?
Not understanding your last part

Researchers aren’t sure why. But they’ve done other studies that show a disconnect between what people say about public transit and what they actually do about it. There’s a support-usage gap rooted in the fact that people believe mass transit has collective benefits that don’t require their personal usage.
Uhhh, its pretty obvious. People think public transit will alleviate traffic and allow them to travel more efficiently... in their own cars.

It's a classy, exclusive nightclub atmosphere in a town which lacks the requisite number of wealthy people who desire and would pay for that kind of atmosphere to the point that it could be exclusive. I don't believe that it would be possible for non-try-hard douches to go there unironically.

I'm sorry but the Athletic construction at LSU was never part of any master plan. It all was a result of the college athletic boom created by television.

If you don't think that TAF and BRAF talk and coordinate then you are extremely ignorant. The two organizations have many of the same members and donors.

you're basically relying on the same group of people to go to your club every weekend.
bottle service at any bar in Baton Rouge just serves absolutely no purpose other than to make thousandaires feel special.

This is just flat wrong, Downtown BR is filled with young professionals that live in Midcity and the Garden District.
That is just flat out wrong.
MidCity is 25% white, and has a median age of 35, which is 5 years over the city average of 30. I wouldn't call that young professionals.
Garden District is closer to 50% white, still has a median age of 36. Not young professional either.
MidCity is more poor than anything.
Garden District is more higher end middle class families and old hippies than anything.
I've heard from police officers that the downtown bar scene is more Port Allen/Livingston/Baker/Zachary blue collar crowd, or at least the ones causing trouble.
