This video from 2009 shows how the US military was with no political correctness and woke ideology infused into it.

That was a different era. Social media was non-existent which prevented the feminization of male youth. You can see in the first video that there wasn’t a single phone in sight, and people were living in the moment.

They are being programmed to act against American citizens.

Things started to get weird in the 90s under Clinton.

You need to believe me when I tell you no one needs to see a grenade go off in a brother's face or seeing any fellow soldier getting blown up.
That was a low-class statement to many who went into battle with friends who never came home.

The military was lost long before that. In the 70's, you started getting points for being a minority during promotion scoring. And then there was Tailhook in '91, which emasculated Naval Aviation, and then Pat Schroeder's drive to put women in frontline combat positions. And of course, the inevitable slide from Clinton's Don't Ask, Don't Tell, to today's troops putting on makeup and doing drag routines.
The modern US Military of Tomorrow is being shaped to attack the kind of people that used to serve in the US Military of Yesterday.

This is a post I made in response to a similar post a while back:
The military is a big machine and the majority of the members will never see anything approaching combat. The majority of the jobs don't require high-speed low-drag meat eaters.
quote:
My old unit just posted a picture of their most recent SURT grads. They are headed off to Ranger School. Most will return with a second tab and be on their way to being high speed low drag light infantry warriors that do Hollywood jumps just because they fricking love it.
I got my first platoon in late 89 after the trio of Airborne, IOBC, and Ranger School. The Army was not far off its post-Vietnam nadir when nobody said anything good about the military. We invaded Panama over Christmas and went over the berm into Iraq the next summer. Outside of a 60 gunner in Panama who had a bit of an "episode" every man in my platoon did their job and did it well. They were mainly guys who had been broomed onto the trash heap of society and joined without the patriotic wind of 9/11 at their backs. They did a dirty job well and came back home to a nice welcome that they deserved. They made me look good in the process and for that and for keeping me alive they have my eternal gratitude. At the time the Army faced similar ambivalence and disdain. I still have friends knocking around Liberty nee Bragg because when you go to Fayettenam you never leave, they tell me All American is ready for the fight, I believe them. People can shite on the military all they like but soldiers generally rise to the occasion and in my actual experience some completely surprise you.

Yeah MySpace and Facebook existed, but it was more niche and not mainstream like today’s social media platforms. People created MySpace profiles to mess around and post stupid things, they did that kind of thing as a joke. it wasn’t like Instagram and Snapchat where you have people seriously trying to be the next social media celebrity and gain as much attention and fame as possible

My old company commander when I was stationed in Korea was gay. Damn good leader, would run through a brick wall for him. He died in Baghdad courtesy of an IED.

This isn’t the military I remember. If these people get offended when you call them a slur, and they end up being a CO of a platoon or battalion, how do you think they will react when they have grenades going off in their face and see people getting blown up? They’ll let their emotions get the best of them and they’ll get their entire fricking platoon killed.
Yeah I don't think this will happen like you play it out in your head.
You're giving me the vibe of Colonel Frank in American Beauty. Hated gays but turned out to be gay himself.

quote:I was in the army at that time. Myspace, in particular, was extremely popular all the way back in 05/06, and everyone was on facebook by 2009. Mainly because we were in the thick of OIF/OEF deployments and it gave people an easy way to communicate from down range. Cell phones were ubiquitous as well. Hell, it was already a couple years into smart phones.
you think social media was non existent in 2009?
