As an example, you dig up something from the past and fire it back at someone, and they respond with: "guess you've been keeping receipts." When did this start catching on more? Am I remembering correctly in that Deion started this? I feel like it has blown up recently.

Cultcha seeping in?

Make it stop, please.

One of the first prominent uses of receipts came in a 2002 interview of singer Whitney Houston by Diane Sawyer for ABC. Sawyer brought up the topic of recent tabloid headlines that accused Houston of buying large amounts of crack cocaine. Houston denied these accusations and demanded proof: “I want to see the receipts.”

Its been around for awhile. I feel like one of the Housewives made it popular again recently.

And Justin Baldoni is going to be proof that keeping receipts is important. The 168 pages of receipts on his website is impressive.

This is usually the mantra of narcissistic women who refuse to admit defeat in an argument and will dig to any depths to "prove" their point.

It’s a way for the narcissists and takers to keep abusing the relationships and givers

Oh you won’t do this for me? Guess you’ve been keeping receipts.

Gaslighting you to make you feel like a bad person for not doing it.

Me: You’re damn right I am with you!!

No it hasn’t, not even close.

Let me guess, the OT is just catching on because it’s just a bunch of old wypipo, right?

Someone said it earlier, but this is a Wrastlin term. If someone is a jerk, or goes to hard in the match they'll get payback.
