Yea I don't get it. For me today is all about having some cocktails and eating till I almost pop. Then hitting the recliner and napping while watching football.

Just passed a Best Buy and people were lined up around the building.
Most of them looked like they probably were not big internet shoppers.

My sister in law's sister and her husband were going to stand in line to save 50% on a washing machine. He's a doctor and could buy one out of petty cash if he wanted to, but they're going to waste their Thanksgiving night fighting the crowd.

Some people enjoy it though. They like the thrill of waiting in lines and the whole start of Christmas season thing

"The thrill of waiting in lines"
How fricking dull does your life have to be for waiting for a store to open become thrilling

Not necessarily poor, but moreso irrational people. People who continue to do things the hard way and waste time on unnecessary things.
Any rational person would pay the extra $50 or $100 after Black Friday with NO wait at all and do other productive things with their day.

Something I could never understand.
Also, do the stores put out portopotties for them?

The people in line didn't have anything better to do, or they are being paid to do it for other people.

The old saying that rings more true every year...America: where one day you're thankful for what you have and the very next you're willing to trample people to get more.

I'll never understand why people would voluntarily miss out on a great meal to go sit in a line all day to get a TV, sometimes for days. I went out to eat Tuesday night and they were already in line. Seems sort of trashy and low brow

Line at JC Penneys was around the building.
There is nothing worth standing in line for at any JC Penney's store on the planet.

Saw a line of about 40 people outside kohl's yesterday at around 5 pm. Is anything at kohls really that valuable to spend thanksgiving afternoon in line for?

I'm starting to think this is a way for women to get away from certain family members they do not care for similarly how men use hunting as their excuse
