It is absolutely inappropriate for the 11-1 verdict became public.
That individual’s life will never be the same, and not in a good way.
Unsubstantiated allegations that the juror did not appropriately apply reasonable doubt and therefore should be replaced puts that juror’s life at risk.

I’d bet he’s capable of protecting himself. Can you imagine the stones on this dude to hold steadfast in his belief with all the pressure from the other 11 jurors—not just suggesting his doubt was unreasonable, but specifically saying he wasn’t following the law—and the judge, and whatever awaited/awaits him at the end of a 6 week trial and deliberations?
Whether you agree with him or not, respect.

I hope she has to endure this all again and then at minimum end up in a mental institution where they torture her.

Jury integrity no longer exists. They rush to the media in an attempt to profit.

Shame on the other 2 guys that voted Not Guilty. I’m not surprised the women voted Not Guilty but no man with a brain should vote Not Guilty

I’m not sure when the judge instructed the jury on this—I saw a recording, but it had to have been sometime today—but he specifically instructed them to not mention a vote tally on any potential further notes. So clearly, the note yesterday afternoon told the judge it was 11-1 at least.
Might have even mentioned or alluded to who the 1 was. Although I’ve heard some defense attorneys talk about how a big part of their job is to relate to and sort of “bond” with the jury. Most said that after this long, it would be easy for Redd—-or any experienced defense attorney—to figure out who the 1 was based on body language/facial expressions. Thought it would be pretty obvious. Speculation, of course.

His conscience is clear. He should sleep well. The others should never have a night of peace. Wallpaper their houses with the faces of those children.

I am not defending a not guilty vote. I believe the woman should be sterilized. But, from what I have read on Massachusetts law, the prosecution had the burden of proving beyond a reasonable doubt that she was not "insane." I don't know how anyone could be expected to meet that burden of proof when there is even the slightest evidence of mental disturbance, especially today, when everyone is on antidepressants,

How did people verify this? Seems like one of those internet rumors that just picked up steam and everyone ran with because they want it to be true.

Psychotic people don’t plot murder. They just snap. She coldly killed her children. That’s vicious. Worse than a mad dog.

The defense attorney said it in open court on live tv.
