You know they've only been keeping written records of temperature since the 1880's, right?

Here is a sample of the current news when you google "heat wave":

In other words, you are surprised that when you google "heat wave" that there are several articles talking about the heat? Is the news not suppose to report when it's hot outside, they will do the same when it's cold, raining, perfect weather...

The graphic was f'd up so I deleted it.

The bottom line is hot weather in July is not unprecedented.
Yes, of course. You’d have to be a god damned idiot to argue otherwise. the brainwashed left will try though

Why do these Yankees and Eurotrash act like they forget that summer is hot as hell? Down here in Louisiana we just go with it. I think their winters are just so cold that it skews their senses.

Climates change.

It happens.. Problem is mother nature don't give a shite what you do it's gonna happen regardless.

Stop making our lives miserable over some shite you can't stop or even slow down in a meaningful timeframe.

All about the money.

So fricking what? It's cooler than normal here in my city. In the south.

Bunch of goddamn emotional women in this thread.

last year my city in Central Texas set records for lows in June and July. I had some days in June that didn't get above 70 and days in the 80s in mid July.

meanwhile this year it's hot, but we haven't broken any records. the news is gonna news.

The temperature sucks but the lack of rain we’ve had in Texas is more concerning… sprinklers are getting a workout this summer.

Houston's already had more 100 degree days than it has most years. Usually we get those afternoon showers to cool it off but not this year

it has been hot as shite

LINK

Also the author of the website realclimatescience.com created a python script that you can download and create your own charts based on historical and raw NOAA data. The script extracts the data from the NOAA database and organizes it in chart form based on your own preselected criteria. Yep I'm in the Houston Metro and I think in the past 2-3 months we've gotten 2-3 rain showers blow through. If this High that has been sitting over us would go away it wouldn't be so bad - the afternoon showers would make everything much more tolerable. Friends and family back home in SELA have been complaining of the heat but at least they are getting some rain.

South of Houston. Hottest June on record here. July is looking to be the same. Lack of rain is huge. We are already on voluntary water restrictions. I expect them to be mandatory restrictions soon.

Reminds me of 2011 while i was at LSU and my parents were bitching about how hot and dry Houston was.

I remember driving back after the Oregon game. There was Wildfires in Texas and tropical storm Lee was hitting Louisiana.
