There aren't many foreign cities with impressive skylines, exception to Hong Kong and probably a few Chinese ones, if you can see them through the smog.

The urban sprawl where I am is even worse.
Sounds like you hate living in DC despite not actually living in DC? Pretty much all of the neighborhoods in NW have their own unique identity and a lot in the East do as well. The older suburbs have a lot to offer and aren’t just shitty built massive town houses right off 66 or a 95.

Rio, Tokyo, Dubai, Singapore, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, even London. Vancouver and Toronto, too.

5). Washington D.C. - does this skyline do a great job showing you that this is the 6th biggest city in the country? Hell no but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt due to being the capital.
If you don’t know why that skyline is the way it is I don’t know what to tell you.

I'll tell you what skyline I was recently unexpectedly impressed with: Anniston, Alabama... Two whole buildings over 10 stories, not bad at all!

Oklahoma City looks strange because they have that one building that's substantially taller than anything else. Really stands out in a bad way (like 432 Park Ave)
Different view of OKC also showing Scissortail Park. OKC is putting a lot money into improving its downtown area.

Dallas skyline has won #1 in the world in 2014 LINK
It photographs very well, better than that of in-state rival Houston from many vantage point. Its reminiscient of cologne bottles on a silver tray.

It's not a bad place at all- it's just that one building I hate and kinda ruins the skyline.

OKC's skyline is kinda similar to Santiago, Chile's skyline (minus the mountainous backdrop).
