Getting back to the thread, I nominate Blowing Rock for NC.

Not bad. But I prefer Elkin. Then again I love wine.

Saluda is a close second.

I do it almost soley for the view you get from Canyon's Restaurant on 321. I want one of those houses next to it so damn bad.

ETA: The golf course is pretty decent too.

If you like Blue Ridge, check out Clayton if you haven't already.

I haven't. It's a good bit farther than Blue Ridge but it looks nice. We'll have to check it out.

If you're there, take a short drive and go to Tallulah Falls.

You can't go wrong with a town who's most famous resident was the inbred kid from Deliverance

Yep. My vote would be for Blue Ridge or Madison. Newnan would be up there too.

This and I'd probably go with Madison. Still can't ride through helen without getting nauseous. Drunkest I ever got was in that shithole and years later the feeling still lingers when I see that place

Sitka isn't as much a tourist town, they chased off most of the cruise ships. Love it there

Louisiana - Natchitoches
Figured this would be the town they had listed for Louisiana just by the title of the thread.

No complaints here.

The Christmas lights/fireworks are pretty rad. Pretty little town from what I recall.

Polebridge. Love it. I wouldn't have thought anyone on the OT wud have been there. Can I ask what you were doing in the middle of nowhere. What a crazy place. Bowman Lake was just amazing I must say! Did you meet cowboy Shawn at Home Ranch Bottoms?
