The temperature in Baton Rouge is a pretty poor example of global warming, just as the snow fall in Boston is mostly irrelevant.

And companies set to make billions are "donating" millions to politicians so they will use tax monies to research how their product will help "slow" it down. And every "reputable" scientists (reputation based on how much grant money they get from the companies who stand to profit from their findings being X) agrees that by switching to these products it will slow down, but they need a few more million in research dollars and grants before they can be perfectly certain.
I don't doubt climate change is occurring, the earth has a continually flowing climate that swings hot to cold naturally. Has the carbon footprint of man possibly swung the pendulum causing the interseasonal climates to be more extreme, sure, I could see that. Do we really need to bury billions of dollars into researching this via taxpayer money so that politicians can pocket the money from lobbyist for companies who stand to make billions off it being right? NO. Let the companies put out grants and contests to find ways to combat the human effect. This is what most climate deniers want. Make it a free market research not a public works project.

Just to put that in numerical terms, one out of one million is .000001. So .999999 of the rest of the time, weather patterns are pretty much natural.

It is probably more like climates shifting combined with global warming, which like ice ages, can come in cycles.

Pretty much.
Also, if the oceans are warmer you'd expect more moisture in the air and bigger snow events fwiw.

Don't give me "recorded history" crap. The recorded history of weather only goes back to the 1800s or so.
In terms of climate and how it relates to this planet, that is a blip in time. These climate scientists want to act like the last 300 years is a microcosm for the climatic history, when it's not.
Explain to me how 2011 was perhaps one of the driest years on record, only to be followed 4 years later by two of the wettest years on record in Louisiana. I suppose that is climate change?
I don't understand how these people believe this crap is so influenced by man that we can have a ridiculously dry year and then 5 years later the state is basically turned into a giant pond.
And for those that believe it is man-made, what makes you think, with more people on this planet than ever before, that things will ever, EEVVVVEEERRR, be the same...again?
