The leg’s hospital experience

Yesterday I had to be seen at a local hospital (ER...I cant wait for that bill!) due to an adverse reaction with a medication.

While there, I had a staff member question why I wasn’t vaccinated. I told them that the rate of re-infection was extremely low and, as such, I didn’t need the vaccine. That was that.

I get it, they are probably required to ask and suggest.

However, later when the doctor arrived (not mine, but a hospital staffed cardiologist) she evidently did not appreciate my stance. After going over the heath questions, she then got onto being vaccinated. She told me that I shouldn’t believe what I read on Facebook.
I told her that I don’t use social media. She said that where I was getting my info from was probably questionable and that I should trust doctors like her.

She said she had seen entire families die from Covid (yes - she really said that), and that the Covid ICU at the hospital was full of reinfected patients.

I then told her that I base my stance on studies, including one by the NIH released this year. She ignored that response and said, well, all of the doctors in the hospital were vaccinated and that I should be as well.

This is 100% a true story. I just found it odd that she was so hell bent on my being vaccinated (even though there is NOTHING to support her stance at this time given my circumstances). I mean, state your piece (required or not) - cool. But to lie in order to make the point...frick that.

Anyway, that is my dear diary moment.
