Right. You don't have to be trained in hand to hand combat working in a pharmacy.
because it is true.

I’m hearing all the options to avoid Walgreens and I get it it’s just that I don’t have a recurring need (thank goodness) so I’m looking at this from a business point of view. Why is this so inefficient?
I’ve yet to read or be told any reasonable explanation

Popeyes
It’s kind of zen, in a way. There is a very loose correlation between what you order and what you get.
By my count, Popeyes has failed to deliver on my extra biscuit request 82.6482% of the time.
Just go with it.

Stockholm syndrome. Costco is like Ikea, they intentionally want you to wander around and buy shite you didn't realize you needed, and you sheep love every second of it. But Costco isn't a service related business.

USPS...
lazy post office clerks will take a 3 hour "lunch break" whenever they feel like it.

Keep yourself in better physical condition and you will not need the pharmacy.

Fair point, and I knew I was off-topic, but it just surprising to me how bad this one is compared to other Costcos I've visited.

The pills are a loss leader and by making you hang around the store you’re more likely to buy junk food or nail polish or whatever that has a high markup

Is it that high of an expectation to get a 4 piece spicy white at a fried chicken restaurant specializing in fried chicken?
Pharmacy gets your order wrong and you might die.

We learned this lesson a few months ago. We walked in and asked what I think is a pretty simple medicine related question. They guy said he didn't know and then googled it right there in front of us. Like at least walk out of our eyesight.

Stop being fat and disgusting and you won’t have to worry about it.

Moving all of my stuff over to a local pharmacy that delivers. I can use the Kroger pharmacy up the road for “emergency” prescriptions that need to be filled on the weekend.
Walgreens is fricking awful. I was refilling a medicine last month and did it through the app like I always do. Sat in line for like 30 minutes to get it. They somehow sent it to the Walgreens across town instead of the preferred one I’ve used for a couple of years now. Couldn’t explain to me why. And then that Walgreens is closed on the weekends so I couldn’t get the prescription until that Monday. Thankfully it wasn’t something I couldn’t afford to miss a day or two of but it was just stupid.

100% DMV. That don't even take phone calls because "they are experiencing a higher than normal volumn".

WORD! Went to Walgreens the other day and to get some Clariton D and had to take a card to the pharmacy to purchase. Three people working and all were working the drive thru instead of the inside customers. There were three people ahead of me and none have been waited on. Really.

We use Kroger. Young Pharmacist guy and mid 40's pharmacist dudes are very helpful if you need them. Grey haired older lady hides behind a desk and avoids contact with public.
Supposedly, back when automation started to take hold, the increase in pay and the Pharm D. came about, the theory was that now the pharmacist would have more time for Pt consults and that would be their main focus. uhhh, think again.
My dad was a 2nd gen pharmacist who co owned 3 stores from the late 70's till mid 90's in a town of about 30,000. counted pills, hand typed labels, (index fingers only), talked to Dr.'s and had to deal with little old ladies and their many ailments.

It’s absolutely retarded….
My son is on monthly medicine… only takes it when he goes to school…. 3 month prescription each time…. But if we don’t pick up prescription by x day of the month, then I have to get Dr to call it back in.
Wtf
