Does anyone find him to be funny at all? I realize I’ve grown up in a red state but damn, this stuff is unwatchable. I don’t watch it, but sometimes I’m doing stuff when the news ends and I can’t get to the remote fast enough to change the channel before he gets in 2-3 bad political “jokes.”

Clearly I’m not in his target audience, but I cannot even imagine what type of people are waiting for the show to come in, then watching and being entertained by it.

I don’t watch The Late Show.

He definitely hit his peak with The Colbert Report.

The only thing on tv less funny than Colbert is that Samantha Bee. Simply fricking unwatchable. I change the channel when her commercial comes on.

I heard that show was good so wanted to see what he did with late night. Back when I actually watched these shows it was because they were funny. Letterman, Carson, and even Conan were trying to make people laugh

Agree.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart was leftist as frick but at least it was funny.

These shows today just aren't funny. They are just "woot" factories.

Watched one of his monologues several months back and it was awful. The jokes were lame and lazy and it felt they they almost had to point a gun at the audience to get them to laugh.

THIS! I find those two and Trevor Noah (and most others) to be dreadfully unfunny.

I find the O-T personalities, often, twice as funny. And those shows have a team of writers, paid well, to make their hosts suck arse.

Imagine if the O-T had paid writers!

I know this is hard to believe, but Seth Meyers is even worse than Colbert. Not as bad as Bee, but he is awful.

I was in on Last week tonight on HBO for a few seasons because during his rants they had some good stuff. Once the last presidential election started he became unwatchable too

Yeah. It started with Bush but wasn’t over the top. They’ve all just gone full tard with Trump

One of the saddest comedy moments I witnessed was when Bill Burr was on Colbert. He was making his usual jokes that were slightly off color and everyone was scared to laugh. You could see Colbert getting physically awkward because he was having to choose between laughing at a legit funny joke and keeping his progressive bonafides. It felt like watching someone you love the most die in front of you.

Even Conan is like that these days. If you go back to his shows from 15 years ago, it's like a 180 from what it is now.

Stephen Colbert’s Late Show is ending the 2018–19 TV season more dominant than ever. With the official Nielsen-ratings measurement period ending Wednesday, the CBS late-night series will expand its total viewer lead over chief competitor The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and, for the first time in nearly 25 years, finish a season at number one in the all-important adults-under-50 demo.

I know he doesn't fit y'all's political views, but don't act like late night hosts ragging on a president is a new thing.
