I feel like I'm living in bizzaro world.
Dual-immersion/language immersion/multi-lingual educations can help students gain a really marketable skill once they enter the job market as adults.
The author agrees with this it seems...but the author also thinks that white families shouldn't let their kids do it because it would be unfair to non-whites?

So much for that whole melting pot thingy. Why not discuss the intrusion of bilingual people into white schools? Hell, why stop there? What about the intrusion of whites into black schools, or blacks into white schools?
Not about race, but rather bilingual versus monolingual? Then why bring race into the equation? For the record, this is why racism continues, because America is so very obsessed with it on both sides of the aisle and in everything we discuss and do. It’s very unhealthy.
