I refused the Covid vax but would willingly lockdown and mask (and prob vax) for an outbreak of hantavirus. Bad shite there.
They've learned their lessons from 2020 and are back for round 2!

There is no FDA-approved hantavirus vaccine available in the U.S. or Europe, although inactivated vaccines are used in China and South Korea to treat hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS). Research is ongoing, with DNA and mRNA vaccines for Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS) in early-stage clinical trials

Yeh what bunch says, this feels like Ebola. Ebola people travelled to, and spread it, but it just isn’t something that likely lesss to a super spread event due to its severe nature

I read that the CDC is being quiet about this, but several Drs are shocked at how easy this strain seems to be jumping and spreading.
You can bet your firstborn that there's some gain of function frickery with this strain.

What scientific evidence have you seen so far that suggests that?

How the Andes Virus Spreads Between People
When human-to-human transmission occurs, it typically involves close and prolonged contact with an infected person's bodily fluids.
Known or suspected routes include:
Respiratory Droplets and Saliva: Scientists believe the virus can be passed through close contact with respiratory secretions and oral fluids. Research suggests the virus may replicate in salivary glands and reach the saliva.
Bodily Fluid Exposure: Transmission usually requires a significant degree of contact, such as:
Sharing a bed or sleeping in the same room.
Sharing food or utensils.
Caring for an ill family member (household transmission).
Intimate contact, such as between partners.
Newsflash: people love to frick when on a cruise ship.

Back to the cruise ship, I wonder if they are air-dropping food to them or something?
I bet it is stressful as hell for those on board right now.
Waiting to see if they start having burials at sea for them

I could not even make that up if I wanted to

Also, it looks like they’re just going to let the people on the cruise ship infect each other and die at sea.
I posted a thread this morning and an update. The latest news was that they're docking allowing those not seriously ill to fly home.
quote:
In the latest development for the roughly 150 passengers on board, Spanish authorities said the ship would still be allowed to dock in the Canary Islands, reaffirming an earlier decision despite pushback from the head of the local government.

I see some articles saying they would be allowed to dock then others saying that they changed their mind and are refusing the ship to dock.
Which one is the latest 100% accurate news?

It's for the greater good.

Cape Verde will be here for the WC. Hopefully they don't bring it with them.

The CBS tweet I just posted was from less than an hour ago about them being allowed to dock. There's a power struggle going on between the local government and the Spanish government but obviously their federal government is going to win out.

I see.
If I were local, I wouldn't want them to dock either.

Well I am supposed to be in Spain in about 3 weeks. Need them to get this figured out ASAP.
