Damn, that sucks. Why not just call someone to get you out? Grab the important stuff and take care of yourself before it gets too bad.
Good luck

So there's basically no way in or out of Central right now. Every road is blocked

Call 911. Give them your GPS coordinates off your phone.
Put electronics up on shelves.
Good luck.

Someone said this morning that Bayou Fountain was cresting already, this was around 7 AM. Is that true or is it yet to crest? I live right off of it and we are good so far as is the canal behind our house than runs into BF. I just never see Bayou Fountain mentioned in any of the crest forecasts so I have no idea what is going on with it.

So Bayou Fountain will go up 3 more feet?

Several family members in central are completely flooded even outside of the flood zone. No flood insurance. Lots of people in central became poor today.

My fear with the system as it drifts south and seems better that eventually it gets pulled back north / northeast bringing up more gulf moisture to the region and no one can afford more rain

Radar looking good for Lafayette and we should get a little relief soon as this dry patch comes in from the north. Any break helps.

No i dont know that im saying it looks like it needs to go up 2-3 more feet for it to crest which tbh is a lot of water when you think about the volume of water needed for that to happen however this isnt a normal storm
