Stranded in my neighborhood in Central. I was extremely confident we wouldn't flood until an hour or 2 ago. Now the backwaters of the Amite have covered our road and are now in our front yard. Unbelievable how fast things changed. Prayers please.

NAM is a pretty decent short term model. Click on "precip_ptot". Goes out 84 hours.

being serious here, put and ax in the attic if the place is single story. Had afamily member that had to use one.

You really should leave the analysis to the experts. No offense, but your opinions serve no useful purpose to folks looking for guidance.

Thanks for the advice. It's single story but we have a dormer with a window so we should be able to escape if need be.

No i dont know that im saying it looks like it needs to go up 2-3 more feet for it to crest which tbh is a lot of water when you think about the volume of water needed for that to happen however this isnt a normal storm

I don't think you understand what "crest" means. Crest does not mean it spills over its banks. If that was the case then crest levels would always be the same as the bank levels never change. Crest simply means when it has reached its highest point and then will start going back down. It can be spilling over for quite a while by the time that happens.
