I'm glad at least SOME people in Ascension got warning yesterday while so many were denying the threat.

So encouraging to see people losing everything and staying positive, and encouraging others. Puts a lot of things in perspective. Shows how resilient and self sufficient we are down here.

The walker mayor is out of his mind. Even if that is completely true, this isn't the time to get on a soapbox and scream it on TV.

With reports of Ward's Creek and Bayou Fountain receding, could that water be going to Alligator Bayou and Spanish Lake instead of back to Manchac?

Update: Alligator Bayou Road is Closed. Ascension Parish Officials urge citizens not to travel to the locks. Bayou Manchac has overtopped Alligator Bayou Road. The road is in jeopardy of washing out.
LINK
This is why they announced the evacuation of the Women's prison in St. Gaberiel they know the Road is very likely to wash out since the water will continue rising until the weekend.
