flooding in camelot is receding a lot now.

Drove down Gardere about an hour ago, it's dry as a bone.

If you play that card then why not blame everyone who's home flooded? Point is STFU. They had issues just like everyone else in this part of the world, and IMO they did pretty well at figuring it out in a relatively decent amount of time.
Did you read past my first sentence?

Do you have an estimate of time of highest level? We left Camelot around 5:30 and we have not been able to tell how much more the water rose after that

Is 190 closed going from BR into Denham? Doesn't show on 511la.org.

I just heard on the radio that Magnolia bridge is open all the way to range. But if you go right on range into Denham you get stopped about 4 miles down. What pharmacy are you trying to get to????

It was at its highest at 8pm or so. Didn't move much though fro when you left to 8pm. Maybe an inch or two higher.

what part of camelot? the back area seemed to be a bit worse, towards episcopal. because that's near where weiner and jones creeks meet up.
some houses in that neighborhood got water in them. my family lives near the corner of excalibur and lancelot, and didn't get any. it never got higher than about 15 feet from the front door. however, their house is relatively high in that neighborhood.

Yes 190 is closed over the Amite river.

I'm no engineer, but this seems a bit to me like when you make waves in the bathtub. Different areas are flowing forward and backward, on the same body of water. Takes a while for it to settle. Uneducated guess says we will continue to see backflow in certain areas areound BR, but it will not be a significant enough amount of water to actually reach any homes or do any damage.

I'm on Southern Hills. The underpass at the railroad tracks is flooded to the top and apparently there is a truck submerged underneath according to Santa Maria Next Door posts. [occupants safe]. The stretch on Spyglass Hill with the golf course on either side is impassable. A part of Arcadian Shores is impassable. Santa Maria Blvd. going in to the Highlands area with golf course on either side is a giant, impassable lake. The end of Southern Hills towards the Charlestown area is impassable.
As far as houses flooded, I think only a few houses have water in them. There are a few houses here in a flood zone and those are likely the ones with water. Some backyards along the golf course are flooded. I have friends in the Highlands on the golf course and on lakes who aren't flooded.

Some areas of ward creek are as high as 21 feet while the area behind the mall is as low as 4 feet. This may be why we are seeing water "backflowing" behind the mall and other areas.
Ward creek may just be leveling off rather than more water actually coming through the mouth of ward creek from the amite
Just a thought

Does anyone know what the hell LSU is waiting on?
Posted on 8/15/16 at 12:53 pm to Tino
So how far can you get down Range coming into Denham??????
Posted on 8/15/16 at 12:53 pm to dukke v
This is crossing over Wards Creek southbound behind St. George going SB. Taken at 11:17.

This is what I suspect as well

We are on astolat in the front. We stayed dry for a long time but the water kept rising. I was looking to estimate how much higher it got after around 5:30 or 6.
I'm glad you fared well. I was shocked at how many people were evacuating up front. I was able to look back past the drainage ditch and it looked horrible
