Sig "backwater flooding" will continue today along bayous/streams that feed into Amite River through Iberville, Ascension & St. James.

They told everyone East of Nicholson (Hwy 30) to evacuate. While not in Iberville they are in a similar situation.
I am in St. Gabriel now on Beehive Dr, off of Bayou Paul Rd. It is hard to believe that it might get water. The yard is dry and the ditches are empty. Trying to decide whether to leave or not.

Yes. We think it got to my parents roof.
I just want to get there with my friends ASAP and start pulling shite out. For one to get house starting to dry, but to help my mom to know that the first step is being taken to get her house fixed.

Just drove from NOLA to Plaquemine via sunshine bridge, I-10, and Donaldsonville/Sorrentto exit. No water on the road and low traffic. That being said, water is supposed to back up onto Hwy 22 in the next 12 hours. I seriously doubt that route will be open later due to back water from the Conway/Panama canals
Anyone else hearing about back water issues dealing with Bayou Conway/Panama in Sorrento?

It's almost impossible to get to that side of denham right now

Back flow of wards creek has begun. Rising quickly. It's crazy to see the water literally flow the wrong direction.

Anyone heard about LSU's status yet?

Cox sucks. AT&T sucks. I have to keep Cox for Internet access, because after this fiasco with AT&T and their lack of coverage during disasters and big events like football games, they are getting the axe from me. I don't even care how much it costs to abandon my contract, frick them.
Yep. Wife and I said the same thing. We've been looking for a reason to ditch AT&T and this was it.
