Mandatory evacuation for iberville on bayou Paul lane. What about the south side of u club?

This and the evacuation of Pecan Rd. Seem to be where bayou manchac is back flowing. Bayou manchac doesn't appear to have enough height to back flow bayou fountain even though we may still be seeing areas of active flooding (Paul lane and Pecan road)

Oh wow, that is significant and unexpected - I know the amount of water required for that apartment lot to take on water. Keep us updated.

Good question. I suspect they will give you the value and don't care how much you owe unless you had some special insurance on that when you financed the car.

I know plenty of people with new cars are a little upside down on them.

More than likely the NADA Retail - your deductible if you have Comp and collision. If you just have liability your screwed. The Insurance company can try to have your car fixed. My wife's car was flooded up to the windows 10 yrs ago. They paid to have all of the carpet pulled and replaced and all of the oils and lubes flushed\replaced. We sold it once we got it back.

Airline is closed @ Antioch (new rouse's). They are diverting North up Antioch, East to Jefferson, South to Highland, then back East to Airline. Airline Westbout, as of 7:30 this morning was a parking lot.

Bayou Manchac at airline is really high. I think airline hwy is safe from flooding but all of the areas lower than the highway are flooded.

Would levee breach cause a larger influx of water to backflow? If so could this be the cause of the significant increase in river speed?

I lost a car to flood damage a couple months after Katrina and they were so swamped with flood claims that they didn’t even inspect the car and just gave me blue book value.

Obviously this isn’t Katrina, but thought that was relevant to your situation.
