Solid, thank you.

The big X all the way on the right is the crest on the Amite.

The other X is the high water location on the Manchac.

The arrows show where flood waters are currently RISING.

Just drove out to bluebonnet and Burbank area.. Water levels look the same from 9pm and checked bayou fountain bridge going into Lakes @ Highland and water levels have gone down a bit there. water is flowing in the right direction.. Inlaws house backs up to bayou fountain and it's definitely lower

Where are you in Santa Maria? I'm on oak park court and when I left at 5 pm it was dry but creeping up Santa Maria.

Interesting, I wonder if that really is the case. If water levels are going down in the area, we may be in luck. Other posters have said Albertson area getting flooded along with the bank and fast food spots. I'll wait for Impotent to get back but if that's true it's great news.

It wasn't me, it was another poster around 11:30 who said water was coming up fast in Santa Maria.

When Impotent comes back and lets us know how it's going I'm going to need to get some sleep. If water is still rising at Highland/Siegen and Bluebonnet in the Albertson's area I would stay at high alert given what the other poster said at Santa Maria at 11:30. If things are going down though, we may be spared as the event moves out of the area. Fingers crossed either way.

It definitely is lower bc we've been watching it all day from my in-laws back yard...at 5 pm water was moving backward towards bluebonnet but as of 30 minutes ago it seems to flowing in the right direction towards Seigen...

I'm not at home but my neighbor as of 11 pm said water levels looks about he same in our part of Santa Maria. We are in The Highlands, granted I'm in the highest part on oak park court but I know Pebble Beach and Bella Vista was looking really bad when I went home to check around 5pm.

Albertsons Parking lot is all clear just water on one lane of bluebonnet but no higher than 9pm..I've been out there a few times bc I have a business in that area and rent out a condo at Lakes @ Bluebonnet across the street. The water levels for bayou fountain behind the parking lot of my office has risen but slightly only since 9 when I was of there last.

I suspect Spanish Lake and the swamp retained a lot of the flood waters.

Impotent, if true this is great news if you confirm. I'll be going to sleep soon, after Impotent comes back and reports the various areas he's been visiting. I think we'll all breathe a collective sigh of relief as the last vestiges of this flood move out. I know I am going to be helping a friends family with cleanup this week. They lost everything out in Denham.

As long as this is happening, it concerns me... but the above poster is reporting a reduction in backwater flooding, so we'll see what happens first.

I do know that Bayou Manchac is still rising just up from Siegen.

LINK

When that levels off, everyone is in the clear. That should level off faster as soon as the crest fully passes the Manchac Point, which it is doing over the next several hours.
