haven't been paying attention lately but is Ascension supposed to get hit pretty hard today?

I'm in fairhill myself and just woke up to check on this thread and to walk outside. Thanks for keeping us up to date guys. Re-set my alarm for 530 an hoping for good news.

more reports:

Just got my parents out of Lakewood subdivision. Water rising rather quickly. Also flowing over 431 at Byron Fontenot Rd. About to cross 431 at lake settlement.
quote:
I'm not sure if it is in any homes yet. There is no power so I couldn't see well. The water is overflowing the ditches and creeping up the yards. It was over our sidewalk when we got out. The water over 431 is not deep but flowing at a steady rate.

Yeah as of 6 hours ago they said it would "get worse" for the next 24 hours. What worse means I have no idea. I've just been watching to see if there's any sudden rising water. Completely dry at the moment.
I've been staying up because the whole cresting at Bayou Manchac is what I figured most effected those of us North of 42 and south of Bayou Manchac.
Last Info from Ascension Parish

This Facebook page posted your graphic from earlier. Saw one of my neighbors share it and ask if we were in trouble because of it.

Neat.
So does that mean people in the path of the arrows are in trouble?

TBH when we posted it we thought so, but we haven't been getting ANY reports from the area. Literally tonight there's been a brick wall. We were getting 10+ messages per minute for the last 2 days, and now basically nothing.

929 is flooding south of Parker Rd in Prairieville. Moving south quickly.
Posted on 8/15/16 at 2:53 am to BeerMoney
I honestly have no clue, I can just tell you water is rising. It seems to be mostly from ditches and storm drains.
I am no "expert" but I think there is more water to come to Highland stretch btw Siegen and Bluebonnet. Def worth keeping an eye on.

more:

Was at highland and siegan about two hours ago and had to turn around. Bluebonnet between Burbank and Highland was taking on water too. Staring had no water but the apartments were flooding. I helped a friend out of her neighborhood at Pelican Point which is on Burbank. It is flooding.

water is rising slowly along airline from prairieville to highland....they have sand bags in place but water slowly sweeping over. Traffic is really bad, allowing only a few cars to go thru at a time once they get to the red light at Highland road

What's the street name of 929?
Posted on 8/15/16 at 3:09 am to Carville

Sides Bayou, or the drainage canal to the Bayou rather is backing up into Stone Ridge Subdivision right now. Water continually pushing into the ditches and has topped Stone Hedge Dr. and Gemstone Dr.
