I think so. They recently built that field up on Burbank where RC planes used to fly. I think once water hits that area, water filling on Highland might pick up pace due Highland becoming the low point again. Just a guess, though

The Great Flood of 2016: Backflow Flooding Occuring (8/14/16)
Backflow at Winndixie. Just watched it for 5 mins trying to figure out what to do with my storage unit. Thanks for the advice, I will document everything

Alright, so now we know that this flow is happening throughout the Bayou Fountain basin. It just remains to be seen now how high this flow actually gets. Best of luck to all of you along the basin. I worry about the area between Burbank and Highland for the entire length, and as you get closer to LSU, between Nicholson and Highland.

Well legally in your case, you don't really have a leg to stand on. You signed the contract. It's binding whether or not you read it...all the judge will see is your name on that contract and the date...do you have a physical document that shows that it covers flood? If not, then you're SOL except for FEMA maybe.

That field used to flood all the time before it was built up. How did it look when you last saw it?

Checked Bayou Fountain behind Summerwood again, moved up MAYBE 1/4".

Windixie was flooded at 5pm this afternoon. If it's increased due to back flow it's skipped a large part of the bayou.

Just filling up the WD parking lot, or it is making that s-turn to parallel closer to Burbank?

One explanation for some areas seeing increases while others are not. The channel gets wider and narrower at different points. At wider points, you may not see much of an increase in height but if water is not flowing forward at a proper rate, the areas behind can back up. Eventually though that height has to translate to a rise in the areas being talked about though.

Either way, we can be 100% sure it is going on at Siegen and Highland, and at Bluebonnet and Burbank, thanks to Impotent. It is also significantly rising out on Nicholson at GSRI, and we know that Santa Maria is having an extreme rise that is expected to translate to higher levels throughout.

Win Dixie is probably very high and not flowing well so it doesn't surprise me that it could start to back up, I would love to hear more about the area over the coming hour.

No one else has recently observed it besides golfer at 9:45, so no direct conflicts. But it just seems to have skipped a large middle section where there has seen little observes rise in bayou fountain.

Maybe I missed it but do you think university villas will take on any water? My friends house is in the back very close to bayou fountain. I texted him but I've yet to get a response. I'm off anselmo in myrtle bluff. I'll go beat on his door and get him out if I need to.

Just went and checked the lake again at the back of the neighborhood, shown above. It looks like if anything it has dropped a few inches. It is still overflowed a bit into Meadowbend, but it doesn't look like its made its way into any of the houses along the lake. Not sure what it looks like elsewhere in Meadowbend.

As you can see in the picture, Bayou Fountain is directly north of the lake, so we haven't seen any rise in Bayou Fountain at this point in the past 48 hours. I'm afraid that may change, but I'm hoping for the best.
