It's been there since yesterday. Nothing new. It can't drain out for some reason.

Does anyone know if Brian Harris Chevrolet on Florida is flooded? My office is right by there. I tried to go, but Florida is closed at North Little John. Thanks everyone for contributing to this thread.

I'm sure they will start setting up donation spots once the water is receded in the next couple days? Wife is heading into BR at some point this week and we have some clothes she would like to drop off

WAFB said about 30 minutes ago that Bayou Manchac may rise a little more
Also said that Bayou Fountain may rise a little more but should be done/settled by early morning tomorrow
Said Monday afternoon, attention will turn to Port Vincent and French Settlement

Water is about 6" from getting in my parents house about 2 miles south of Walker exit. Should that start receding soon?

The information sharing, caring and general humanity displayed in this thread is heartwarming to this outsider. Reinforces my belief that most people are kind, giving, selfless and generous in dark times. This site has its bad days, but most here are good peps. Be safe all and let people like me, that are removed from this, know how to help and recruit help...donation organization and the like.

My parents live behind Holy Rosary and just finished sandbagging. My sister lives near St. Amant fire dept and will sandbag tonight. So far, no water near them. Any specific road in St. Amant you need info on?

My parents live in Torrey Pines (the trailer park) off Old Hammond near ONeal. They were evacuated and should be ok(but because ATT dropped the ball I haven't spoken to them since last night)....we are just holding our breaths to know the extent of the damage(no flood insurance).

Well it's about fricking time. The lack of national coverage on this makes me upset.

I wouldn't say it's stable. Continues a slow rise in The Lakes at Highland. I can say that with complete confidence as the pond behind me backs up in the drains and raises the level on the street in front of me. So I've got a very accurate visual reference. It jumped this morning and has since slowed down, but it has continued to rise

Was just over there helping sand bag some church friends homes..New river looked like it went down in the 2 hours we were there..it was flowing faster when I first got there but when I left it was lower but could tell it was moving at a slower pace..it was off of 22 on stringer bridge road
